MORryde Story
What we thought was just a slide problem was much more. On our 2021 Grand Design Transcend, one of the hangers broke off from the frame. Even more concerning, the frame was twisted. The only thing keeping it all together was an XFactor cross-member by MORryde. Fortunately, with luck on our side, Lippert tech Dan was on site at the GD Oregon Rally this week. Shane and Rutger from the GD SRT team were also there to help. This was serious, as we saw our home for the past 3 1/2 years was in jeopardy. This is one of those situations that full-timers RVers fear. A plan was put in place with the help of Stephanie, Jim and Ginnie.
This was a full-day project. The team worked on the I-beams then reinforced and fabricated new hangers that are stronger than ever. They also added cross beams for additional support. Now, the floor feels as solid as concrete when you walk around. The repairs added about 1 1/2” to 2” of lift to our coach. I’m told that there is a good chance we are the only transcendent in the country with a 2” lift
